John S. (Jay) Canning

Aimee Day Canning is the daughter of Rev Alex D. Day and Juanita Taylor Day. Therefore, Jay Canning is our brother! Praise God for allowing Jay to be a part of our family. Both Jay and Aimee attended East Coast Bible College in Charlotte, NC, where they met and fell in love. They were married in Tazewell, Virginia on March 13, 1985. God always establishes His Word before He sends out His workers. Both Jay & Aimee were raised in Pastors' homes and know what being "in the service of the Lord" is all about.

Jay and Aimee began their ministry in Sebring, Florida many years ago, and have continued to bless hearts as they have pastored churches in Florida and Virginia.

Pastors Jay and Aimee Canning are currently pastors at Bassett Worship Center in Bassett VA. Pastor Jay plays the bass guitar and sings, in addition to ministering the word, and Aimee is a very accomplished musician. She is a great Praise & Worship Leader and pianist as well as being active in other areas of ministry.

Three of their proudest accomplishments are their children: Ashlea, Jayson-John Alexander (married to Amy), and Taylor, who delights both his parents every day with his loving attitude, delightful communication, beautiful smile, and keeps them busy watching him play sports, is their omega.

Lovely addition to this wonderful family has them all smiling constantly and bursting with pride. Jayson and Amy have 3 children and a 4th will make his appearance very soon. Nora Beth (Duchess Enbi) as Aimee so proudly refers to her, Avery, Ezra and soon to arrive, Macklin.
